Looking forward..

Well the 2012 season is coming to a close with some overall progress and good results. It has been a good year for me although I missed out on a few breakthrough opporunities. I'm already looking at 2013 and this new Olympic Cycle.
Triathlon has never been about "Money" for me but it is about getting the best out of myself and having no regret a few years down the road on what I have done. For the past 5 years I have lived and trained in Poissy under the great guidance of Boris Gros. He has taken me from an Age grouper to a good international triathlete (Continental Cup wins, two French nationals podium, many top 10 GP Finish and 2 top 8 World Cup).
For the next Olympic Cycle I'm going to get away from my comfort zone and work with a new coach; Darren Smith. Altough Boris is one my closest friend and one of the person who knows me the best I felt that I needed a change...i need a new challenge and I wanted to go to the best out there (or at least one of the best) to climb the last few steps that could make me a top triathlete worldwide. I just feel like I owe it to myself, to my girlfriend, to my family, to Boris, to my club (Poissy Triathlon), to my teammates and to all the people who have supported me. Let's get the most out of myself and let's see where that takes me.
I have started working with Darren over the last couple months and the approach is very intense and I like it...every little details count!! He has had fantastic results with women (Lisa Norden, Kate Allen, Sarah Groff, Annie Haug and plenty others) and i want him to pride himself with the results he has with men in 4 years!! We have work to do and it won't be easy but we are ready for it. It will take me away from my loved ones, it will force me into new training regimen and processes but I'm ready for it. A big thanks to him and all the DSquad members to welcome me.

So to all the people who have supported me over the years, just know that I'm in good hands and that I will do everything to make you pride!!!

I will also make a point to keep my blog updated and communicate better. I'm in Sedona Arizona at the moment and I will be going to the Cancun WC on Thursday before going back to Poissy.
